Introduction

Now, you will set up a 2-of-3 Collaborative Multisig Wallet in Nunchuk shared among three participants. This collaborative wallet is managed by multiple users, ensuring shared control.

Nunchuk simplifies the process by enabling secure communication between signers. For single-user multisig setups, we recommend using Sparrow Wallet.

  • Nunchuk App installed on your wallet member devices
  • Nunchuk account logged in to the Nunchuk App
  • 1 hour of uninterrupted time in a camera and microphone-free environment

  • Tap Profile -> Network settings
  • Select the Mainnet server radio box
  • Save and restart the app

Enable collaborative wallet
#

Collaborative wallets are off by default, so you need to enable them in the settings:

  • Settings -> Developer settings -> enable “Matrix-based collaborative wallet”.

#

Press the Plus sign to the right of the “Keys” to add your hardware wallet. The other members of the group wallet has to do the same with their keys.

  • Air-gapped key, through a dedicated hardware device like Seedsigner, Coldcard, Trezor, etc.
  • NFC key, like Tapsigner, Coldcard and Portal.

Connect to your contacts
#

  • Under Messages -> Contacts, add each member to your contacts list.
  • Under Messages -> Messages create a chat that will include all members.

Create collaborative wallet
#

  • Within that group chat press “Create a collaborative wallet”.
  • Choose a wallet name and then continue to enter the amount of “Total number of keys” and “Required keys”. For example 5 members have a total number of 5 keys and 3 of them are required each time to send the funds.
  • Continue and assign the first key.
